The 4th Global Tourism Resilience Day Conference and Expo was successfully held from 15–18 February 2026 at the Kenyatta International Convention Centre (KICC), Nairobi. The conference was followed by a high-level visit to Kenyatta University.
The conference was hosted by the Ministry of Tourism and Wildlife, Kenya, in collaboration with the Global Tourism Resilience and Crisis Management Centres, the Ministry of Tourism of Jamaica, and other partners. It brought together ministers, senior government officials, international experts, academics, private-sector leaders, and development partners.
The conference was held under the theme, “Tourism Resilience in Action: From Crisis Response to Impactful Transformation.”
The event marked an important milestone in moving tourism resilience from conceptual discussion to structured, measurable, and policy-supported commitments. Key highlights included the adoption of the Nairobi Declaration on Global Tourism Resilience and the signing of a Kenya–Jamaica Memorandum of Understanding to strengthen cooperation in resilience research, training, and institutional collaboration.
