*Weaving a Future for Tourism in Puntland, Somalia: Real, Peaceful, and Unseen*The Global Tourism Resilience and Crisis Management Centre – Eastern Africa (GTRCMC–EA) is proud to spotlight Puntland, Somalia—a land of peace, promise, and untold beauty.
As part of the groundbreaking Erasmus+-funded 3is Project, we’re partnering with Somali institutions like Puntland State University, KAALO Aid & Development, and the Puntland Development Research Centre to reshape the global narrative around Somalia through academic innovation and tourism resilience.
From stunning coastlines and vibrant culture to deep community engagement, Somalia is showing the world a new face—real, resilient, and ready.
“Unlike the common perception of insecurity, there are vast areas in Somalia that are peaceful, stunning, and ripe for tourism development,” – Dr. Esther Munyiri, Director, GTRCMC–EALed by the University of Girona and together with 22 international partners, including Youthmakers Hub, we are empowering Somali youth, supporting local tourism policy, and driving sustainable development.
 Next steps:

Expand infrastructure, eco-lodges, and air connectivity
Promote Somalia’s true story through storytelling and local media
