GTRCMC-EA, a key expert in capacity building on East African Community Harmonized Sustainability Standards in Dar es Salaam Tanzania on 6th and 7th May 2024. Selected participants were leaders of public and private organizations and associations in Tourism from Tanzania, Uganda, Rwanda, DRC, Burundi, Uganda, South Sudan and Kenya.
This workshop marks a significant milestone in the journey towards sustainable development across the region.
Together, we aim to foster a unified approach to sustainability standards, ensuring a greener, more resilient future for East African tourism.
The initiative is a collaborative effort under the partnership of UN Tourism, UNEP, Global Opportunities for Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), One Planet – Sustainable Tourism Programme, the Kenya Tourism Federation, and Ecotourism Kenya.
