This Research has Been Commissioned by the National Tourism Crisis Steering Committee under the Ministry of Tourism and Wildlife, Kenya, in Collaboration with Kenya Tourism Board (KTB). The project started on July 2020 to July 2021. The tourism products and experiences inventory in Kenya -Mapping and Information Management Project has augmented the Magical Kenya brand by the Kenya Tourism Board (KTB), as the country seeks to further develop a resilient tourism industry in view of the COVID-19 pandemic and other crises that may impact negatively on the industry.
Since the commencement of the project stakeholders across the 47 Counties in Kenya have been submitting information on tourism products and facilities into eleven distinct survey categories which captured detailed information on Activities, Attractions, Accommodation, Tour Operators, Travel Agents, Tour Guides, Ecotourism Facilities, MICE Facilities, Pubs, Entertainment and Restaurants, Transportation and Ancillary Services.
