The GTRCMC-EA, East Africa Tour Guides and Drivers Association and the Council of Governors met today and agreed to formalize agreements to work together in different areas of mutual interest. A key priority area is in upskilling tour guides across the EA region.

To meet the needs and expectations of twenty-first century tourists, who are in search of personalized and meaningful experiences, tour guides need to become more highly skilled experience-brokers, including embracing technology to choreograph memorable experiences. The team is organizing a regional conference in this area in May 2022.
