NATIONAL TOURISM STRATEGY 2025-2030

Introduction
Kenyatta University, participated in the Stakeholder Consultative Meeting on the Kenya National Tourism Strategy 2025-2030 in Naivasha, between 7th to 10th January 2025, through representation by Dr. Edgar Ndubi and Dr. Esther Munyiri. The meeting was attended by key stakeholders in Kenya’s tourism sector drawn from the public and private sectors, academia, civil society organisations, and other relevant stakeholders.
Expected Outcomes
The meeting is expected to achieve the following:
- An assessment of the achievement of the Tourism Strategy for Kenya 2021-2025 and the progress towards realization of the Country’s Tourism Blueprint 2030
- An appreciation of the strategic focus of key government agencies and associations within Kenya’s tourism sector and identification of areas of strategic alignment with the National Tourism Strategy
- A review of ongoing regional and continental initiatives and how these could inform the formulation of the Kenya National Tourism Strategy
- Identification of strategic issues underpinning the Kenya National Tourism Strategy 2025-2030
- Formulation of a roadmap for the formulation of the Kenya National Tourism Strategy
