Olergesailie Village in Kajiado, Kenya, was voted one of the Best Tourism Villages by World Tourism Organization ( UNWTO) during the 24th session of the UNWTO General Assembly in Madrid, Spain.

This is in recognition of its efforts in embracing tourism to provide opportunity and drive sustainable development.

The village, today, 12/1/2022, will be receiving the certificate from Hon. Najib Balala, the CS Ministry of Tourism and Wildlife, at the Maa Community Museum in Kajiado.

The village is home to outstanding sites, cultural and natural richness including being a factory for prehistoric hand axes and a donkey ‘general assembly’ venue.
